Our take
I picked up the G2490VX for my gaming setup and have been impressed. The 24-inch VA panel delivers great contrast with deep blacks (3000:1), and 144Hz at 1080p is buttery smooth. The frameless design looks sleek, and the 1ms response time is responsive. FreeSync works well with my AMD GPU. The on-screen controls for Game Color and Shadow Control are handy. However, the glossy screen can be reflective, and connectivity is limited to one HDMI and one DisplayPort. Overall, excellent value at this price.
